�ֲ��ý and Tulsa Transit Partner for Free Ride Program

�ֲ��ý students and employees will be able to ride Tulsa Transit for free during the 2013 fall semester. The pilot program will operate Monday, August 19 through Friday, December 13. �ֲ��ý Rides Free powered by Tulsa Transit offers unlimited rides to �ֲ��ý students and employees anywhere Tulsa Transit offers bus service.

�ֲ��ý students enrolled for the fall semester, �ֲ��ý full-time employees and �ֲ��ý part-time faculty will be able to ride Tulsa Transit for free by showing an official �ֲ��ý ID with the �ֲ��ý Fall 2013 sticker. Students can pick up the �ֲ��ý Fall 2013 sticker at Student Activities, Enrollment Services or Bursar offices on any �ֲ��ý campus. �ֲ��ý employees can pick up a sticker at �ֲ��ý Human Resources Office or Student Activities Office on any campus.

“�ֲ��ý Rides Free is a green commute for college, work and life. This pilot program is designed to benefit our students and increase access to higher education by removing the obstacle of transportation for those who want to attend college,” said �ֲ��ý Vice President for Administration and Chief Technology Officer Sean Weins. “Plus, �ֲ��ý Rides Free powered by Tulsa Transit aligns with �ֲ��ý’s Green Initiatives and is part of our continued effort to help improve the environment.”

The pilot program follows a popular concept that has been adopted in other cities across the country. The �ֲ��ý and Tulsa Transit partnership marks the first ever unlimited free ride program in the Tulsa area. This pilot program is being funded through a partnership with Tulsa Transit and �ֲ��ý is paying a flat contract fee.

“Demand for public transit in Tulsa is near record levels. The partnership with �ֲ��ý represents huge opportunities for both organizations to improve mobility for �ֲ��ý students, faculty, and staff and to increase ridership on Tulsa Transit buses,” said Tulsa Transit Assistant General Manager Debbie Ruggles. “The partnership is a win-win situation that will reap big rewards for the community because it is helpful in reducing emissions and easing traffic congestion.”

Digital Media Graduates Showcase Creative Work

Graduating students from �ֲ��ý’s Digital Media program shared their creative portfolios with the community during the Digital Media Student Showcase in May. Projects included animation, motion graphic, interaction design, visual brand identity, photography, and physical media touchpoints such as packaging and print collateral.
