New Series at ĄÖ²„“«Ć½ Opens Doors to Oklahomaās Film Industry

With the rapid expansion of TV and film projects in Oklahoma and stars like Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese shooting feature films in Tulsa, ĄÖ²„“«Ć½ has focused its popular āI Canātā series on the film industry.
This free monthly series begins to answer how you can be an extra on a film set or how to act for the camera. āI Canāt: Film Editionā opens the door to how everyday people can break into the industry.
āWith Oklahoma garnering attention from Hollywood as a prime filming location, we wanted to find a way to connect the community with opportunities to get involved,ā said Annina Collier, Dean and George Kaiser Family Foundation Endowed Chair of the Center for Creativity. āThese free workshops will show you how to get started as you learn from national and local experts.ā
Session topics include being an extra on set, shooting video with your camera, and more.

The āI Canāt: Film Editionā workshops will be held via Zoom from 7 to 8:30 p.m. CST. All workshops are free and open to the public with the exception of āI Canāt Tell a Story.ā The February workshop is presented in partnership with The Second City, the worldās premiere comedy club and school of improvisation, and has a limited capacity of 30 spots.
